What are email marketing autoresponders?  It’s quite a mouthful isn’t it but they are services that will send emails to your subscribers automatically for you.  There are dozens out there to choose from but your online success can often result from a good service especially if you have a new site.

An email marketing autoresponder service will usually charge you a monthly fee while some are free.  I would suggest though if you are serious about success you invest in a paid service for many reasons I will mention later.

Aweber
I list this one first as it is my preferred program.  Aweber is easy to use even when you have multiple lists.  Creating a new campaign, inserting files, videos and audio is simple.  Sending broadcasts or follow up messages is easy to do and the tracking is useful.  Aweber is not the cheapest of the email marketing autoresponders starting at $19 a month (for up to 500 subscribers) but if you plan on building a big list then is would be my choice.

Autoresponse Plus
This program is a bit different to the other two in that it is downloaded to your server and not remotely hosted.  Autoresponse Plus charges an upfront fee for the license ($97 for one) so you don’t have ongoing monthly fees.  Customizing everything as well as importing external lists is easy but if you aren’t tech savy the rest can be more complicated.  You can only install one license per domain but have many campaigns for that domain.

Get Response
The third email marketing autoresponder is Get Response which is the current industry leader and is similar to Aweber.  It allows you the same level of customization like attaching files and adding messages in any format and they ensure delivery. I like the tracking system on this serice which is comparable with Google Analytics.  The price is a little less expensive than Aweber at around $14 for up to 500 subscribers.

You need an autoresponder for your business, just as you need hosting, and before you start outsourcing.  It’s really a personal choice between the three.  Consider though how big your business is, how big it will get and what you want your email marketing autoresponder to do for you.  Why not try one of the three services/companies above and watch your business grow.
